Specialty classes are taught by experts in their field. The instructors for these classes come from a variety of enrichment programs and bring a passion for their class to our students. SPECIALTY CLASSES
Our Constitution, Civics, and Politics class for elementary students is designed to be an exciting and interactive introduction to the fundamentals of our government and the importance of active citizenship. Through engaging activities and dynamic discussions, students learn about the Constitution, the foundational document that outlines our government's structure and protects our rights. They discover the roles and responsibilities of various government branches and how laws are made.
Creative Kids Dance is a creative and physical outlet that encourages each child to discover his/her individual talents. Children who participate demonstrate important concepts such as body awareness, pattern and sequencing, physical development, and musical awareness. These skills support academic improvement by promoting higher thinking abilities, spatial intelligence, concentration, and creative thinking. Classes enhance students’ self esteem by providing an opportunity for accomplishment in an artistic, fun, and non-competitive environment.
Hero Kid Sports is an innovative, non-competitive sports enrichment program teaching the fundamentals of sports and the values of teamwork in a fun and encouraging environment. Our HERO Programs have been curated for all skill and play levels supporting our kids in building their confidence through our 11-sport curriculum. Young athletes delve into a variety of sports, including HERO Home Run Baseball, Touchdown Football, Slap Shot Hockey, Spike Volleyball, Track & Field, Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, and Kickball.
iCode’s goal is to make STEM education exciting and fun! iCode makes STEM education fun! Their instructor-led, hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) classes utilize gamified learning techniques to keep students engaged and excited to learn. Their curriculum team ensures that the lessons continuously evolve with technology, which includes the latest hardware such as gaming computers, 3D printers, robotics, and even drones!
Imagine Arts Academy was developed as a collaborative effort between Mad Science and Crayola. We fully believe that art and education can make this world a better place for the next generation. Imagine Art’s mission is to inspire children through art by developing their creativity and critical thinking.
KidStage is a theatre and acting class for kids! The curriculum includes concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, voice and basic theatre terminology. At the end of the class, KidStage kids will perform for peers and parents. All classes are taught by trained instructors, whose goal it is to teach your child about the excitement of theatre.
Mad Science of Colorado is a leading science enrichment provider. We deliver unique, hands-on science experiences for children through after-school programs, birthday parties, workshops, special events, and summer camps. Our innovative programs are as entertaining as they are educational!
Strategic Kids’ aim is to positively impact our community by teaching life strategies through games! We strive to make learning fun and exciting so children feel engaged and are able to retain the knowledge they learn to use in their futures and everyday lives.
Chess: We bring the ancient game of Chess to life in this educational and engaging program! This program, designed for beginners and seasoned players, offers a learning experience that combines a new and engaging lesson each session, friendly gameplay, and opportunities to build new friendships! The best part? The program culminates in an exciting tournament where students can showcase their newfound skills and compete for amazing prizes!
Cartooning: Our STEM Cartooning sessions are simple and entertaining! With straightforward, step-by-step instructions, students can learn the fundamentals of Cartooning and explore ways to bring life to anything from inanimate objects and personalities to animals. Each day, students will build upon their knowledge and hone their skills, drawing different figures of all sorts, from sea creatures to geometric shapes! The possibilities for fun are endless with STEM Cartooning!
Lego: Children are naturally curious, so let them explore with our LEGO Engineering and Storytelling courses! With LEGO Engineering, children will gain a better understanding of basic engineering principles through engaging and creative activities like crafting LEGO machines, using gears, springs, pulleys and more. LEGO Storytelling classes teach them the art of storytelling by guiding them through LEGO builds of creative tales revolving around themes of Super Mario, Animal Crossings, Harry Potter, and more!
Masters of the Field: Get ready to unleash your inner athlete with Masters of the Field! This action-packed program consists of a mix of outdoor game classics and an academic curriculum. Games such as Capture the Flag and Relay Races will push your limits and ignite your competitive spirit, while educational topics will encourage problem-solving and critical thinking. Dive into a wide variety of games that will keep you on your toes and test your abilities.
Talk to the Camera’s STEAM-based enrichment classes and camps were created to spark imaginations and boost self-confidence through filmmaking & video creation. Kids have a BLAST & parents enjoy the benefits of improved social communication skills! Kids explore filmmaking, social content creation, animation, broadcasting, TV shows, acting and more! Our enrichment classes and camps will keep kids engaged and entertained!
Lighthouse Academy will also provide a variety of standard classes taught by Lighthouse Academy staff. These classes include but are not limited to board games, logic/critical thinking, team building, arts and crafts, typing, and study hall.
